Mark Repstad, founder and CEO, established Southland Commercial Real Estate in 2021 to offer an individualized intelligent approach to Commercial Real Estate. 

Striving for integrity and transactional transparency, has allowed Mark to grow a base of return customers, client referrals and long-term partnerships that are the heart of Southland CRE.  He aims to find solutions that are beneficial for each client’s immediate needs, business growth and long-term wealth creation.  

Mark graduated from the University of Minnesota’s top ranked Chemical Engineering Program in 2003 and started his professional career working as an analyst on state-of-the-art deepwater oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico.  After serving on the Discover Deep Seas and surviving Hurricane Ivan offshore, Mark followed his entrepreneurial passion to Southern California and launched his real estate career in 2005. 

Combining his technical background with time spent in real-world high-pressure environments has allowed Mark to become very skilled at identifying a client’s immediate needs and long-term objectives. He has closed 650 plus transactions, totaling more than $2.2 billion dollars in his eighteen-year career. Working with family businesses, ambitious upstarts, ground-up developers and industrial giants has allowed Mark unparalleled access to Southern California Real Estate and cemented his status as an expert in the field. His clients include Athens Services, CEG Construction, Dedeaux Properties, Fox Luggage, LBA Realty, Link Industrial, Pompeian Olive Oil and Prologis. 

Mark serves on the Board of Directors for Foothill Family Services and enjoys staying engaged in his community.  He and his wife reside in San Marino with their four children. Mark loves traveling, hiking and golf but seems to spend most Saturdays on the sidelines happily coaching his sons’ baseball and basketball teams and cheering on his daughter at dance.

Rob Castro joined Southland Commercial Real Estate in 2024, contributing to the firm’s dedication to personalized client service.

A graduate of California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Rob initially pursued a career in tech before discovering his passion for commercial real estate. He began his real estate career at a mortgage banking firm in Newport Beach, CA, where he played a key role in underwriting, loan packaging, and closing over $250 million in industrial and multifamily assets.

Rob has proven to be an up and coming professional in the commercial real estate industry, and has gained significant experience working with family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and institutional clients. His analytical skills enable him to swiftly identify solutions for clients, while his interpersonal abilities allow him to build strong, honest relationships.

Outside of work, Rob enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, and attending concerts/EDM festivals.
